We have been blessed by so many Random Acts of Kindness throughout our Orphan Hosting Journey. Today I want to pay it forward!
We have been fundraising to bring our 4 host children back for another hosting season this summer! The funds that people donate pay for the children’s passports, visas, airline tickets, train tickets, etc. They arrive with the clothes on their back and then our family provides everything they need while they are here. We also send them back to the orphanage with a duffel bag and back pack full of clothes, winter jackets, winter boots, toiletries, toys and whatever else would be a blessing to them at the orphanage. You can read more about our hosting and adoption journey here.
In gratitude for all the support and encouragement we’ve received, we are
Fundraising With A Twist!
For every $20 that is donated to our host children’s account at New Horizons For Children, we will bake 1 mini pineapple upside down cake and deliver it in your honour!
Who will we give the cakes to?
Good Question! We will be keeping our eyes and ears open, looking for anyone in our community who would be blessed by a surprise like this. If you know somebody in my general area, please nominate them in the form below! (I live in Blue Ridge, TX and can drive about 45 minutes in any direction.)
How To Donate:
Click here to be taken to our Host Children’s You Caring Page. You will receive a tax deductible receipt for your gift. Thank you! Then, come back to my website and click here to download my newest ebook Battle of the Laundry Pile: How to Win Without Making the Kids Go Naked as my “Thank You” gift to you!
Nominate Somebody Here:
Use the Form Below to Nominate a Cake Recipient! We may not be able to give a cake to each person, but we will certainly try!
Update: As of April 29 we have only another $928 to raise and all 4 children will be fully funded to come this summer! That’s 46 more mini cakes to be made and delivered! Click here to donate now!

Neat idea! Those pineapple upside down cakes sure look yummy. Do you have a recipe link to share?
