Have you ever felt like you were stuck in a rut? Wish that you could do more for others, but feel so overwhelmed at home that it hardly feels possible? I’ve felt like that and today I’m visiting over at the HomeMaker’s Challenge, discussing that very subject!
As a homemaker, it is so easy to get caught up and overwhelmed by the never-ending cycle of cooking-cleaning-laundry, cooking-cleaning-laundry… If I’m not careful I can quickly fall into the depressing trap of thinking “Woe is me. What I do doesn’t matter. This is so un-fulfilling.”
Even though my life is completely focused on pouring into my husband and children, it’s still easy to get stuck in a rut. I have found that a great antidote to pity-parties is to reach out to my neighbors and find ways to serve them. The simplest way I have found to show love to my neighbors is through the kitchen!
Wait a minute! Did I just say that cooking for others is the simplest way to show love to neighbors? I sure did! Click on over to the HomeMaker’s Challenge and I’ll tell you how I do it! It’s so easy! See you over there!
