I never started out to be a blogger. When Papa-the then-Software-Engineer announced his intention to open a farm I had no way of knowing that I was about to acquire a hobby that would put such talented, inspiring and encouraging women in my path. One of the beautiful, unintended consequences of writing this blog has been the friendships I’ve made with other bloggers.
Bloggers like my friend Leigh Ann Dutton over at Intentional By Grace. She is in the middle of a Surrendered Marriage challenge on her blog. Now, I’m sure I’m not the best example she could have found of a surrendered wife! When this whole “Let’s open a farm” topic came up, my response was not exactly surrendered. But “hindsight is 20-20” they say and I can share what I’ve learned about why I should have been surrendered! There have been many, many times on this blog that I have briefly told the story of how we ended up owning a farm, but never have I told the story from the perspective of the blessings we’ve experienced by being obedient to God’s call for our lives this way. So, come on! What are you waiting for? Join me over at Intentional By Grace to read all about it!
