Virtual Museum Programs Kids Love! (Giveaway!)

Field trips are a big deal when you’re a homeschool mom.  They’re a great learning experience for the kids, but it’s a lot of work to organize one and the trip itself can be exhausting!  I mean, let’s face it.  We homeschool moms are the principal, the teacher, the parent volunteers, the cafeteria staff AND the bus driver when it comes time for a field trip!  That’s why I was really excited to be introduced to a company called Streamable Learning. Virtual Museum Tours Kids Love (With Live Programs)

Obviously, a virtual museum tour is not a replacement for actually leaving your house and going to a museum.  But it’s not possible to physically take your children everywhere.   So, museums from across the United States… museums like California Academy of Sciences, The American Civil War Museum, Carnegie Museum of Natural History, National Women’s History Museum, the National Churchill Museum in Missouri, the Fine Art Museum of Boston… have all created video tours of their museums.  Streamable Learning makes those tours available to you and I.  Topics include American History, Anthropology, Arts, Botany, Chemistry, Animal Conservation, Environment, Geography, Government and Women’s roles in history, and much, much more. With over 400 streamable museum programs to choose from and more being added all the time, there’s truly something for everyone!  You know the old saying… “If you can’t bring your kids to all the museums, bring all the museums to your kids….”  (Ok, that’s not exactly what they say… but they will be saying that now!)

How Does Streamable Learning Work?

Streamable Learning is super-easy to use!  You simply log in and book which event you would like to attend.  There are worksheets that you can use before and after many of the programs.  Then you just sign in at the allotted time and watch the tour.  If you’re watching live, you can ask Questions and get live answers or participate in online polls.  If you miss the live event, there’s often a replay!
